CONTROLS: Arrow Keys to move. C or Arrow Up to jump and interact with megaphones. X to dash (very important).

You can also use a controller, if you want.

"The Sun... Something is wrong with the Sun... Is it coming this way?!"

Lights Out is my new platformer game made with the beautiful pocket platformer by the_l0bster (thanks for making it that easy to make a game!)

This platformer game with minimalist graphic design was created to exploit the dash mechanic, and to tell a story about... I can't tell much because it would be a huge spoiler so, why don't you discover the story on your own?

In this game you will find:

  • Challenging levels designed for speedrunning
  • A satisfying dash mechanic (thanks again to the_l0bster for that)
  • Short but engaging story
  • A random weirdo
  • Lots of replayability
  • But mostly important: FUN

Additional thanks to PixelPoldi for the spike sprite with which I had so much trouble and my brother blokete (Twitch) for the beautiful cover image.

Unfortunatelly the sounds are gone for your game :(

The reason is that itch.io is blocking resources from google now. If you want to fix it, you can just import and export your game in PP. Also, music can be just uploaded in the tool now.

Just saying because i still enjoy this game, and music added a lot of value to it :)

Oh, I showed the game to a friend a month ago and it didn't have any sounds, but didn't mind it too much. I thought it would be fixed naturally, but it seems I'm going to have to try and figure it out. It's been a long time, glad you still like the game, really. I've been trying to do something like this one but my ideas feel bland after this one somehow...

Nice game mate!

I really appreciated the good checkpoint ideas and the precise gameplay... a bit difficult but not too much

Also good job on minimal graphic choices!
